I finally got around to doing a full length poster of the knife thrower from my music-inspired “If This Hat is Missing…” piece, which completes the series I had done of all the thrower’s girls. The process was basically the same as the others (which I had to go back and re-learn to refresh my memory). I originally envisioned all five posters fitting together side-by-side with the thrower in the middle. All the text at the bottom follows an overall wavy pattern, with this poster serving as the centerpiece linking them altogether (see below).
In this image of Theodore you can clearly see his blindfold, a detail not visible in the very first piece. He is, of course, blind.
